Liberal Arts is a vibrant new course at Chester that develops students into socially, culturally, and politically engaged global citizens of the 21st century. Taught by experienced experts and active researchers, it provides students with a complex and sophisticated understanding of the functioning, development, and evolution of modern societies and cultures. The diverse and flexible programme gives you the exciting opportunity to design a course of study that reflects your academic passions, interests, and curiosities in History, Religion, Literature, and Modern Languages. You will also have the chance to develop further your intercultural literacy and cross-cultural skills through international study or work placements. The interdisciplinary nature of the Liberal Arts course at Chester and its focus on a range of key social and cultural issues including gender, identity, diversity, and human rights, will equip you with the knowledge, cultural awareness, and critical thinking tools to be able to engage with, shape and take the lead in todays rapidly evolving global society.
