You'll develop your understanding of key academic and conceptual approaches used in the arts and humanities and focus on building your critical thinking skills. Study is interdisciplinary, enquiring, and creative, focusing on engaging with the world around us and investigating our relationship to history, society, and culture.
The foundation year course is designed specifically for students from a widening participation background and therefore does not accept students with previous higher education experience, including other foundation years.
A-level: CDD
GCSE: English and maths grade C/4 or above, or equivalent.
T Levels will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
20 Hours of Work permit weekly for international students.
IELTS (International English Language Testing System) Academic or IELTS for UKVI (United Kingdom Visas and Immigration) (Academic) or IELTS Online at 6.0 overall with no less than 5.5 in each component skill. Please note that we cannot accept results from these tests that are over two years old at the start date of the course you intend to study.
TOEFL iBT (Test of English as a Foreign Language Internet-Based Test) or TOEFL iBT Home Edition at 80 overall with no less than 17 in listening, 18 in reading, 20 in speaking, and 19 in writing. Please note that we do not accept TOEFL My Best scores and we expect candidates to have met the relevant requirements from a single TOEFL test.
