Intercalating gives you the opportunity to build upon the skills and knowledge you develop in your main degree, and gain a more rounded perspective on your subject. An additional qualification can also be an advantage in the competitive graduate job market. Our courses are also excellent preparation if you decide to pursue a career in research or academia, and some of our students have chosen to pursue a doctoral degree after completing their studies.
You must have successfully completed at least the first two years of a degree in medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine, or a related subject. Your current institution must also allow you to take an intercalation year as part of your main degree.
If English isn't your first language, you'll need a qualification that proves your language level, such as IELTS (6.5 overall, with no less than 6.0 in any component). We accept a range of alternative qualifications for both degrees and language qualifications - contact us for more information.
20 Hours of Work permit weekly for international students.
IELTS (International English Language Testing System) Academic or IELTS for UKVI (United Kingdom Visas and Immigration) (Academic) or IELTS Online at 6.0 overall with no less than 5.5 in each component skill. Please note that we cannot accept results from these tests that are over two years old at the start date of the course you intend to study.
TOEFL iBT (Test of English as a Foreign Language Internet-Based Test) or TOEFL iBT Home Edition at 80 overall with no less than 17 in listening, 18 in reading, 20 in speaking, and 19 in writing. Please note that we do not accept TOEFL My Best scores and we expect candidates to have met the relevant requirements from a single TOEFL test.
