Course Overview

Our supportive course will provide you with the opportunity to have direct access to module tutors and excellent levels of academic support at the University of Chester. The use of outside speakers on the course helps to demonstrate Education Studies in a real-world context. Speakers have included experts in the field of education, high-profile politicians, and practitioners in a variety of educational disciplines. You will also have the opportunity to visit educational establishments to observe learning theories in action, and to undertake a work-based learning module to develop your profile of experience. Our commitment goes beyond your undergraduate studies. Subject to achieving a 2:1 in your undergraduate degree, you will benefit from a guaranteed interview on one of our postgraduate teacher training programs and a range of other programs that will allow you to specialize in areas such as special educational needs, leadership, and creativity, as well as pursuing research interests.

General Eligibility

GCE A Level 112 UCAS points from GCE A-Levels or equivalent. Typical Offer - BCC/BBC The Department requires one of the following subjects at GCE A Level: English Language, English Literature or English Combined (Language and Literature) BTEC BTEC Extended Diploma/Diploma: merit/distinction profile plus one of the GCE A-Level subjects listed above
