Course Overview

We are fortunate to have a number of highly successful published writers of fiction and poetry in the Department, who can share their insights with you. The Departments commitment to contemporary literature, and its contacts with eminent authors, allow us to place your degree studies in Creative Writing in an exciting wider context. We will also give you guidance on how you can get your work published so that you can share your success with others. At Chester, we pride ourselves on teaching Creative Writing in a supportive and friendly environment. Creative Writing achieved a score of 100% Overall Student Satisfaction in the subject area of Creative Writing in the 2020 National Student Survey, the largest national survey of final-year undergraduates in the UK, as well as 99% satisfaction for The Teaching on my Course.

General Eligibility

Typical Entry 112 UCAS points GCE A Level 112 UCAS points from GCE A-Levels or equivalent. Typical offer - BCC/BBC. Specific subjects/grades required for entry: (Drama, Drama & Theatre Studies, Performing Arts, Performance Studies or Theatre Studies) and (English Language or English - Language & Literature or English Literature or Creative Writing).
