Course Overview

In this course, you will examine the relationship between music and the wider cultural, social, and economic circumstances of its production and reception. We encourage you to focus on contemporary ideas and developments emerging within the industry. Interdisciplinary learning is encouraged and you will consider complex questions about creativity and knowledge alongside students from other practice-led master's programs. You will undertake two taught modules in the first semester, which will help you to develop the necessary frameworks of thought enabling you to progress to the final stage of the program.
