Through a combination of academic study and practical investigation, you will learn to prevent, treat and rehabilitate soft tissue injuries. You will also build the ethical and social awareness needed to work in this field. Together we will consider how to decide when an athlete is ready to return to play after an injury - an issue that is hotly debated by players, coaches, medical professionals, and the media. We approach sports therapy and injury rehabilitation from various perspectives, as you learn to manage and prevent injury at all levels of the sport. By training in sports therapy, you will learn to help athletes perform better, recover faster, and train more effectively. We are committed to making sure everyone has opportunities to benefit from sport, regardless of background, age or ability. You will have the chance to work with a variety of people throughout your degree, including those using exercise rehabilitation, individuals living with dementia or cardiovascular problems, and professional sportspeople.
