In both Literature and Media, we are concerned with how texts and different forms of popular culture are formed and have an impact upon the world around them. You will investigate the styles, techniques, and artistic decisions behind these texts. However, you will also always be thinking about their relevance to the political, social, and historical contexts they are part of. On your literature modules, you will have the opportunity to choose from a varied selection of periods and genres. You will not study only well-known classics, you will also expand your understanding by going beyond the canon to hear from voices on the margins of literary tradition.
