Throughout the program, students will develop a solid foundation of skills that are essential to effective mental health and well-being practice for successful graduate careers. With ethical practice at its core, this degree is structured to provide students with the knowledge and skills essential for working in a diverse range of mental health and wellbeing services and making positive differences in the lives of individuals and their communities.
Students will examine biological, psychological, social, cultural, and environmental factors that influence mental health and well-being throughout individual lives. Similarly, students will develop an understanding of clinical, non-clinical, and individual perspectives.
Students will also explore the services across public, private, and third sectors working to improve, maintain, and promote mental health and wellbeing.

All applicants are required to have at least 3 GCSEs at grade C, or grade 4, or above, including English and Maths.

Throughout the programme, students will build upon their employability skills. As part of self-development enhancement as learners and professionals, students will have to analyse and critically reflect on given scenarios throughout a variety of contexts. This will allow students to analyse different approaches necessary for working and communicating effectively, creating successful professional relationships and actively engaging through the provision of meaningful contributions.

A psychology degree equips students and graduates with the knowledge and skills to explore and understand why people think, feel and behave as they do, and can be utilised across a wide range of career paths that positively impact the lives of others. With a psychology degree graduates can choose to specialize in specific areas of psychology depending on their specialisation and personal interests, such as clinical, counselling, educational, health, occupational, sport and exercise, or forensic psychology. There are many options within public and private healthcare, education, mental health support, social work, therapy and counselling. These roles may be advisory, research-led, treatment-led or therapeutic.
Candidates must demonstrate a certificated level of proficiency of at least IELTS 6.0 (Academic level) or equivalent English Language qualification.
