The programme has been developed with the assistance of a range of local employers to ensure it meets the current and future engineering needs of the region.
This programme is part of a suite of higher education programmes which have been developed to meet the need for Engineers, as identified within the Government’s Nuclear Skills Strategy document and sanctioned by the National Curriculum and Qualification Advisory Group for Nuclear (CQAG). The Higher National Certificate has been designed to provide a seamless progression pathway to the Level 5 Higher National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering and, ultimately, the Level 6 B.Eng. in Mechanical Engineering.
