Maintenance strategies are central to the smooth operation of complex industrial processes in a wide range of industries, including the automotive, pharmaceutical, nuclear, petrochemical, and aerospace industries. The planning and implementation of professional maintenance strategies can reduce costly breakdowns which may interrupt production. They contribute to sustainable engineering practice which benefits the environment as well as driving down costs and improving safety. This course will develop your knowledge of maintenance engineering, tribology, maintenance of complex systems, and systems integration. Well cover both the technical and management aspects of maintenance engineering, preparing you for a range of roles associated with maintenance engineering on mechanical plants, such as asset management, plant maintenance, and preventative maintenance.
Applicants should have a degree in relevant scientific, engineering, and technology subjects at grade 2:2 or above Applicants who do not obtain the appropriate level of Honours Degree for admission to the MSc course will be recommended to join the PGDip course (with a possible transfer to MSc) if appropriate IELTS: 6.5 with no score lower than 6.0
