Course Overview

We have collaborated with Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service (LFRS) to create an exciting program of study in Fire Scene Investigation which will see you investigate the cause and origin of fires, using multi-disciplinary science and research methodology. For your dissertation youll get to study an area of fire science that interests you, taking responsibility for designing, conducting, analyzing, and interpreting the results of a substantial investigation thatll also be contributing to the discipline. Youll gain valuable work experience with an opportunity to undertake a professional placement as part of your MSc or choose an industry-based project.

General Eligibility

Applicants should hold at least 2:2 degree in related subjects such as Forensic Science or Chemistry or Fire Safety Higher National Certificate or Higher National Diploma in an appropriate discipline combined with appropriate professional experience A detailed admissions procedure will be forwarded on the application
