This is a course designed to help you understand childrens thoughts, emotions and behaviour in scientific detail. While youll study the core modules in research methods, psychology and statistics that will give you a degree recognised by the British Psychology Society, youll also take a series of specialist modules focused on child development. Youll have the chance to develop your skills and understanding in a superb setting €“ with specialised facilities for observing children playing and interacting with others, together with a cognitive neuroscience lab for observing their minds. Theres also the chance to go on a placement to assist with child-centred research. And, thanks to extensive links with schools and childrens services, you can focus on Educational Psychology €“ studying language development, literacy, peer relations, online safeguarding, antisocial behaviour and bullying.
