Youll develop your supervisory and managerial skills so that youre able to thrive in the industry, whether you aspire to work in hotels, resorts, conferences, restaurants, or bars based in the UK or all over the world. Youll also look at current trends in hospitality, corporate hospitality, and related business events. In the early stages of this course, youll explore the hospitality industry and its development from an international perspective, including customer service, food and beverage operations, human resource skills, and marketing. Youll learn how to take an analytical approach to talent management, applied research, and service quality. We offer employability-based modules and encourage you to develop your intercultural communication skills; this is particularly important in todays global industry where youre likely to be dealing with international guests every day. We also offer a wide range of language courses which you can study either as an option module as part of your degree or as an additional award.
