Course Overview

Foundation Entry degree courses are ideal if youve got the ability to study for a degree, but dont have the necessary formal qualifications to directly join an honors program. Its a great stepping stone to a full degree. Our course combines Deaf Studies modules with education modules. Youll cover the history, education, culture, community, and language of Deaf people, alongside education modules €“ the theories of learning, diversity, and inclusion, and vulnerable learners in the education system. Youll also study British Sign Language. The vibrant Deaf community in the area means that youll have ample opportunities to practice your language skills with native language users.
