Being knowledgeable of the developmental, well-being and learning the needs of the client will be a common theme on the programme, you will develop an understanding of the skills and knowledge necessary to enable you to meet those needs and discover how you can respond in creative, reflective, and analytical ways to issues relating to construction management. Being mindful, of course, of the need to adopt a resourceful and reflective approach. As well as learning about management, practice, and provision within the field of construction at home we want our graduates to be outward looking with an awareness of global issues that relate to the field of construction such as global warming, energy efficiency, zero carbon and sustainable issues.
You will become more confident to meet the challenges of a changing society especially within technological advances, competent as researchers in gathering data, and analysing it to evaluate and plan for change. On achievement of a degree in Construction Management in Sustainability you will be able to progress onto post graduate or masters level study. Any further study depends on your degree classification to establish your point of entry. De Montfort University offer a range of post graduate programmes including an MSc in Energy & Sustainable Building Design, MSc Project Management, MSc Risk Management, etc. there will be opportunities to discuss progression from your programme with the University's Link Tutor.
