Youll study all the major biological concepts and theories and learn a range of important laboratory and field techniques. Youll develop the breadth of understanding and hands-on practical skills so you can apply your expertise to the many challenges we face in the world today, such as microbial resistance, climate change, safe and sustainable food production, and the conservation of endangered species. By participating in extensive practical classes in our excellent laboratories, you will become competent in advanced research techniques. Youll use our state-of-the-art analytical suite, scanning electron microscope, and DNA sequencing facilities in your classes, and can access them during your final year research project.
