Course Overview

Youll gain an understanding of how to apply physics to the stars and galaxies which make up our universe, whilst developing skills in scientific methods. During your MPhys (Hons) Astrophysics course youll have access to specialist laboratory facilities for the study of nuclear physics, mechanics, optics, quantum physics, laser physics, spectroscopy, and astrophysics. And our Physics Teaching Laboratories have benefitted from an investment of over £40,000 in new equipment. Foundation Entry degree courses are ideal if you dont have the necessary formal qualifications to enter directly onto your chosen Honours degree program. Theyre a great stepping stone to a full degree.

UCAS: 64 points including 32 from A Level or AS Level Maths and Physics BTEC Extended Diploma: BTEC Applied Science MMP with AS Maths or alternative proof of mathematical ability on a case-by-case basis BTEC Diploma: MM in Physical Sciences or any BTEC with AS Maths grade C Pass Access Course: 64 points International Baccalaureate Diploma: Pass including 64 points from Higher Level subjects and Higher Level Maths or Physics
