Course Overview

Mechanical engineers who specialize in systems are tasked with solving complex engineering problems through systems tools and techniques. By choosing this diverse path in engineering, you could go on to work in a wide range of sectors such as transport, process, and allied health industries in the UK or further afield. During the foundation year, you will develop your engineering, science, and computing knowledge and you'll gain skills to prepare you to study at degree level. You will go on to develop strong technical skills and will build your mechanical engineering knowledge while taking specialist modules that focus on systems. You will learn to design creative, considered, sustainable, ethical, economical, inclusive complex engineering components.
