Architecture focuses on the relationship between people and their environments. Study architecture at AUT and gain an understanding of the critical, ethical, aesthetic, social cultural and technological components of architecture and the design of sustainable future environments.
The programme is professionally accredited by the New Zealand Registered Architects Board. You’ll develop a critical approach to architectural design, become familiar with architectural history and contemporary architecture practice, and learn to apply Te Aranga Māori design principles to your work.
Must have completed the Bachelor of Architecture and Future Environments or equivalent with a B grade average or higher in courses at level 7; or equivalent.
May be required to submit a portfolio of work and/or attend a selection interview.
20 Hours of Work permit weekly for international students.
IELTS (Academic) 6.5 overall with all bands 6.0 or higher; or equivalent.
