The course has a strong focus on student employability, balancing professional practice with design and technology studies in order to prepare students for a career in the industry. Graduates will be well prepared for careers within a range of organizations, including architectural and architectural technology practices, local authorities, housing associations, and building contractors. Chartered architectural technologists play a key role in the construction industry, overseeing and supervising projects all the way from inception to completion. They can offer vital technical and innovative solutions to enable the realization of building concepts, as well as working on BIM collaboration.
A minimum of two completed A-levels in a relevant subject, a BTEC Extended Diploma at DMM or BTEC Diploma at D*D, normally in a relevant numerate or technology subject or equivalent qualification, or a combination of qualifications which comply with the minimum entry requirement of 104 UCAS points. A BTEC Subsidiary Diploma will be considered in conjunction with other qualifications. Direct entry into year two or three may be considered for this course.
