Examine the approaches and methods used by historians, and develop your knowledge of historical trends, processes, and events of the past 300 years. You will have the opportunity to explore a range of social and cultural developments in the history of Britain, Europe, and the wider world. Whether working in small groups or individually, you will be guided by an expert teaching team throughout your course. Their historical research in areas such as urban history, the history of crime, environmental history, imperialism, sexuality and gender, migration, popular culture, and social movements is of international standing and will feed into your learning.
Applicants should either have at least a second class honors degree in the cognate subjects of Humanities, Social Sciences, Law or Human Geography, at least a second class honors degree in a non-cognate subject supported by evidence of an aptitude for the subject applied for, or have equivalent experience or training, normally from within the work environment.
IELTS 6.5 with no skills below 5.5, or an equivalent qualification.
