The course will cover a number of key themes from data management and data analytics such as machine learning, to statistics and programming. Informed by a deeper knowledge of data principles and practical considerations, you will gain an in-depth understanding of core data analysis techniques. Using open-source data and tools such as python and SQL, tableau and KNIME, you will learn how to identify data to inform your investigation, how to pre-process data to ensure quality results, how to select appropriate analysis techniques for the task, and finally how to choose methods, including visualizations, to convey the message. You will also have the opportunity to interact with industry experts to gain connections and insight into the roles available within the field.
