Course Overview

You will learn the main theories, tools, methods, and techniques of accounting and finance within an international context and understand the advantages, limitations, and typical applications of each effective way or process in practice. In addition, you will develop your ability to reflect critically on the current debates in the accounting and financial professional and academic literature.

The course will equip you with the knowledge and skills to deal with complex accounting and financial issues in various employment contexts. The focus of the course will enhance your ability to analyze any situation and make sound strategic decisions.

This degree will prepare you for senior accounting and finance roles in public and private sector organizations and offers exemptions from CIMA, the world's largest professional body of management accountants (subject to successful completion of modules).

In addition, to help you develop the skills that leading employers ask for and to let you see how traders work, we have 16 Bloomberg terminals in the ULSB Trading Room at the School of Business.

General Eligibility

A good UK honors degree or its equivalent, a postgraduate diploma from a recognized institution, or a relevant graduate-level professional qualification

Part Time Work Details

20 hours of work permit weekly for international students.

• IELTS 6.5 or equivalent. If your first language is not English, you may need to prove your English ability. If you do not yet meet our requirements, our English Language Teaching Unit (ELTU) offers a range of courses to help you to improve your English to the necessary standard.
