You will learn about marine organisms and their habitats, and general principles of marine biology, ecology, conservation, physiology and behaviour. More specialised topics focus on the ecology and conservation of higher order marine vertebrates, including sharks and marine mammals, and the role of these top predators in the marine ecosystem. There will also be opportunities to consider applied aspects of zoology such as fisheries, aquaculture, conservation biology and ecotourism.
