We have an international reputation in translational research aimed at promoting evidence-based policy and practice for the benefit of the patient and population health. Postgraduate research supervision is available in applied epidemiology, decision making and organization of care, life-course, development and aging, and public health improvement. Life-course, development, and aging explore healthy aging, from development in childhood and the consequences of disability to the health and wellbeing of the oldest old (85 and over). Research areas include: aging and health transitions in health and disability understanding child disability improving quality of life technologies and the environment cognitive impairment and dementia.
Phil A 2:1 honours degree, or international equivalent, in a science or medicine related subject. PhD A 2:1 honours degree, or international equivalent. Further research experience or a Masters degree would be advantageous. MD A MBBS, or an equivalent medical degree.
IELTS 6.5 overall (with a minimum of 5.5 in all other sub-skills).
