Course Overview

You’ll study plays, practitioners and genres that have been particularly influential in shaping contemporary theatre and performance. We give you the opportunity to explore:

  • Theatre practitioners

  • Playwrights

  • Performance making

  • Writing, directing and performing.

The course also includes a focus on:

  • Plays and musical theatre productions in the University Theatre

  • Theatre in education performances and workshops in local schools

  • New plays written by students

  • New and existing works devised, directed and performed by students.

General Eligibility

  • Indian students with 65% marks at Grade XII / Pakistani students with 70% marks at Grade XII

  • A Level – Grades BCC

  • Accredited Prior Learning equivalent to Year 1 and Year 2.

  • Other equivalent qualifications from EduQual/BTEC with Merit.

  • Copy of latest school credentials

  • Passport copy

  • Emirates ID (if any)

  • Visa Page Copy

  • Passport Size ID photo

Successful completion of one of the following:

  • A recognized post-secondary course.

  • University preparation (foundation) studies.

  • One year of study at a recognized tertiary or higher education institution.

Part Time Work Details

20 Hours of Work permit weekly for international students.

Language Requirement

  • A mandatory English Language Test by Bath Spa University UK conducted in the Bath Spa University Academic Center RAK Campus; or IELTS (Academic) test results with an overall score of 6.0, minimum score of 5.5 for each skill/band.
