Recent MPhil and Ph.D. graduates have gone into a variety of careers, including: academia education publishing university administration. Additionally, you can involve yourself in a range of activities and events. As a Ph.D. student, you can gain experience in journal editing and conference organization. You will have the opportunity to join the editorial team in publishing the annual Newcastle Working Papers in Linguistics. You can also get involved in the organizing team of the annual Postgraduate Conference in Applied and Theoretical Linguistics. As well as this, you can present your work to a student audience for feedback at our regular Student Work in Progress (WIP) meetings.
A 2:1 honors degree and a master's degree, or international equivalents, in relevant subjects.
