Course Overview

This Foundation Year in Mathematics will give you the skills and knowledge required to progress onto an undergraduate degree in Mathematics, such as our BSc Mathematics course.  This course will start with a thorough revision of GCSE and A-level Mathematics and will continue with an introduction to university mathematics. Furthermore, you will learn transferable skills that are key for undergraduate studies in Mathematics such as coding or data analysis. These skills are in high demand by employers in exponentially growing sectors. During this 1 year course, you will study an introduction to; data analysis computer programming, or coding linear algebra and calculus  probability and statistics, with applications to the real world and university level mathematics. You will learn how to use software to solve mathematical problems and find solutions. Your problem solving skills will be enhanced and you'll gain analytical skills that will be pivotal to progressing onto further study.
