Changing demographics have led to an increasingly older population. This has resulted in a greater need to understand the mechanisms of aging and age-related disease, to undertake research with older people, and to prescribe appropriately. The course is aimed at clinicians, allied health professionals, and scientists with a particular interest in aging. Knowledge gained from this course will help you to understand the needs of older people, and further, to identify research opportunities to improve the health and well-being of the aging population. This innovative course is ideal if you already have a primary qualification (eg MBBS, BDS, BSc) and are working in the fields of health or life sciences. It has been developed to provide a flexible approach, making it sustainable and compatible with professional career pathways whilst addressing the needs of a modern health service.
