You will explore complex architectural intervention down to the finer detail of the commercial interior design. Exciting design proposals will develop through the study of design history and theory and be explored via investigations into existing site and architecture, function, materials, brand, tactility, space, form, and human interaction. All projects are set in the context of industrial practice and communicated through 2D and 3D methods, including technical drawings, 3d visualization, sketching, and model-making. Our unique collaborative relationships with national and international clients and practices allow you to work on real-life project briefs with companies such as Topshop, Gensler, John Lewis, Live Theatre, Fuse and Dalziel, and Pow. In addition, we were invited to participate in the prestigious Open Studios Programme at The Bauhaus, Dessau with our final year students. This took place in October 2018 and we anticipate a return in January 2020. This studio-based course is an affiliated member of Interior Educators, the UK organization representing established degree programs in Interiors education.
