Course Overview

Film and Television Studies BA (Hons) at Northumbria combines the study of theoretical and practical elements of these forms of media in one innovative course. Supported by academic researchers and industry professionals you will analyze the historical and social context of cinema and television, covering a wide range of genres from comedy to horror. You will benefit from our partnerships with cultural institutions such as the Tyneside Cinema. You can also choose to put your knowledge into practice by developing your own short film.

General Eligibility

120 UCAS Tariff points From a combination of acceptable Level 3 qualifications which may include: A-level, BTEC Diplomas/Extended Diplomas, Scottish and Irish Highers, Access to HE Diplomas, or the International Baccalaureate. GCSE Requirements: Applicants will need Maths and English Language at minimum grade 4/C, or an equivalent.
