At the start of the course, you will take a week of the non-credit-bearing module, which covers two professional certificates. Firstly you will protect the content for the Investment Foundations Certificate offered by the CFA. It is recognized by employers in the finance industry and can be external to the University for a small fee. You will also be introduced to the Bloomberg Terminals and allowed to complete a free online examination, 'Bloomberg Essentials.' Completing these professional certificates can help you stand out from employers.
By taking the MSc in Management, Finance, and Accounting, you will acquire the latest academic and professional knowledge in accounting, finance, financial management, and organizational performance and skills, enhancing your professional development and career prospects. The course features a combination of modules that allow you to focus on areas of interest that relate to your professional needs. You will develop an understanding of the main theories, models, frameworks, and techniques of management. You will also learn the primary data analysis techniques needed to make informed decisions in modern corporations. You will be provided with a stimulating and intellectually challenging learning experience and rigorous teaching in financial management, accounting, and general management tools and techniques.
As well as specific knowledge of financial management and accounting, this degree will develop your ability to analyze and evaluate management problems and make sound strategic decisions. Good UK honors degree or its equivalent, a postgraduate diploma from a recognized institution, or a relevant graduate-level professional qualification.
