This course will allow you to top up your existing qualifications to an honours degree in one year while benefiting from all that Northumbria University and the city of Newcastle have to offer. Youll build on your all-around knowledge of business, adding expertise in accounting and finance as well as transferable professional and managerial techniques. The course includes specialist modules that cover financial reporting analysis, strategic management accounting, and international financial management. The course provides an excellent foundation for jobs in finance, banking, government, and general business leadership. One in six of the UKs top 100 chief executives started out with a finance or accounting degree. The course is covered by the prestigious AACSB accreditation for Newcastle Business School, which was €˜Business School of the Year at the Times Higher Education Awards 2015. BTEC HND/Foundation degree, or equivalent in Business and Finance (Accounting), or a related subject. If you have taken a BTEC HND program, we will usually expect you to have performed to an average of Merit standard. If you have taken a Foundation Degree, we will be looking for performance to Commendation level, or 60% average. The following professional qualifications will also be considered: 1. AAT Professional Diploma in Accounting (level 4) plus a minimum of one year's relevant work experience. 2. CIMA Advanced Diploma in Management Accounting. 3. ACCA Professional Stage, Part 2 completion. 4. ICAEW Certificate Stage completion.
International applicants should overall IELTS (Academic) score of 6.5 with 5.5 in each component (or an approved equivalent*).
