Course Overview

The MArch is designed to equip you with the skills you need to succeed in your chosen career. Critical thinking, independent learning, imaginative solutions, and the rigorous justification of design decisions are at the heart of our course. The architectural profession is rapidly developing through the influence of new technologies, emerging markets, and political and ecological drivers. You will develop the tools to respond flexibly to authentic situations and possibilities, to deal with contingency and complexity. Accreditation: 1. Prescribed by the Architects Registration Board (ARB) at Part 2 level for the purpose of registration in the UK. 2. Validated by the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) at Part 2 level for the purpose of eligibility for membership of the RIBA. 3. Accredited by the Board of Architects Malaysia (LAM) for the purpose of eligibility for registration as a Graduate Architect with the Board of Architects Malaysia. This program meets the accreditation criteria, attributes, knowledge, and skills required in Architectural Study as stated in the Manual of Accreditation for Architecture Programme. The skills you will acquire are transferable and focus upon: autonomous learning; authentic and analytical methods of inquiry; critical curiosity; social responsibility; and design and communication skills via a comprehensive mix of manual and digital methods.

General Eligibility

Standard Entry A minimum of a 2:1 honors degree from a Part 1 accredited Architectural course, or equivalent and a minimum of three months relevant postgraduate work experience. Applicants are required to submit an online portfolio with their application.
