In this course, youll get the knowledge and skills you need for all areas of practical ecology and conservation €“ with a highly practical emphasis on hands-on exercises in field and laboratory settings. In the field, youll learn identification skills for a wide range of species, as well as industry-standard survey techniques like phase 1 habitat surveying, habitat condition assessments, national vegetation classification, and bird territory mapping. In lab sessions, youll include the use of microscopes in taxonomy and analysis of environmental parameters such as water oxygen levels and soil nutrient status to enable a better understanding of species environment interactions.
At least a 2.2 honors degree equivalent in this subject area.
EU and international students need IELTS 6.0 overall (no less than 5.5 in writing and in any other band) or equivalent.
