Youll work real business briefs on this course €“ from the development of mobile apps, fly drones and a European MCU rally car, to hardware platforms and mission critical software. Computing problem solving and software engineering are the focus of this degree. Youll develop skills in high and low level languages including C/C++, Java, Python, HTML5 and CSS and will use a range of Agile Methods including Scrum. From the beginning of the course, youll work on real-life projects €“ developing an industry-ready portfolio of your projects and achievements. Students have recently built mobile apps for businesses as well as a card-based visitor information system. From your second year onwards, youll be supported to pursue your own paid freelance work to develop your experience and portfolio.
