Course Overview

Learning in the field and lab, focusing on local and global biological issues, youll develop the skills you need to move into a rewarding biosciences career. Youll start with biochemistry, physiology, taxonomy and the ecology of animals and plants. You can then choose to follow themes that mirror our research specialisms in molecular biology, ecology, global change biology and whole organism biology. Youll be guided by lecturers awarded for their teaching excellence and media work, and internationally-recognised for their frontline research in bioscience. These include Professor Adam Hart who has presented BBC2s Hive Alive, BBC4s Planet Ant: Life Inside the Colony and BBC Radio 4s Big Game Theory.
