MSc Physiotherapy will teach you the fundamental skills needed to help people maximize and restore movement, manage physical difficulties, and provide person-centric care within a range of settings.
You will be taking on an essential role in enabling people with a range of conditions to improve either their physical and mental health, their well-being, and their quality of life.
The course will help facilitate the growing demand for physiotherapists with a strong emphasis on delivering physiotherapy across the community and primary care settings including GPs' practices, schools, and care homes.
As part of your course, you will undertake a mixture of theoretical modules, practical instruction, and clinical placements.
The modules on this course will help build a wide base of knowledge and transferable clinical skills which will prepare you for a career in physiotherapy upon graduation. This could be as part of the community and primary healthcare settings including:
General practice
Community services
Professional sport
Private practice,
National Health Service (NHS)
Education
Research
Working overseas
Within the 3rd Sector
This course will also equip graduates with the transferable skills for a diverse range of careers outside of physiotherapy.
Applicants should have five GCSEs at grade C or above including:
Mathematics
English Language or Literature
Science subject or equivalent
Plus, a UK undergraduate honors degree at 2:2 or above, or equivalent international qualification, in a relevant subject. Relevant subject areas include:

Sport Science
Sports Therapy or Rehabilitation
Chemistry
Nursing
Psychology
Other degrees will be considered on an individual basis.
Applicants will need to demonstrate evidence of interest and work experience in a relevant field and will also need to supply a satisfactory enhanced DBS check.
20 hours of work permit weekly for international students.
Non-native English speakers who do not have GCSE English or equivalent at grade 4/C or above require an IELTS score of at least 6.5 in writing and at least 7.0 in reading, listening, and speaking, with a minimum overall score of 7.0. Please refer to the HCPC website for more details.
