Course Overview

You will take six taught but research-focused modules that aim to equip you with key theoretical and practical skills, and introduce you to examples of current and future applications of biotechnology. You will then select a laboratory-based research topic that interests you with a supervisor of your choice. In certain cases, this may involve collaboration with industrial partners.

We provide access to part-time jobs, and extra-curricular employability-enhancing workshops and offer practical one-to-one help with career planning, including help with CVs, applications, and mock interviews. We also deliver group sessions on career planning within each course and we have a wide range of extensive information covering graduate jobs and postgraduate study.

Students and graduates of the University of Chester can use our services free of charge for up to two years after graduating.

General Eligibility

A 2:1 honors degree in a relevant discipline together with preparedness to study and formal interview is required. A 2:2 honors degree may be mitigated by experience. Advanced standing must be agreed upon before enrolment.

Part Time Work Details

20 hours of work permit weekly for international students.
