Course Overview

This degree offers an innovative and broad curriculum and provides an excellent grounding for your career in dance and the arts. You will engage in a comprehensive study of dance, integrating theory with dance practice. We provide a breadth of curricular expertise that is virtually unparalleled and responsive to the needs of each individual student. We offer daily technique classes with live accompaniment from professional musicians in contemporary core styles such as Cunningham, Graham, Limón, release and contact improvisation. Exploring familiar and unfamiliar dance forms, from ballet to capoeira to hip hop, you'll be encouraged to reflect on dance in novel ways and develop your analytic skills €“ for instance, by considering how dance both shapes and is shaped by society, or how choreographers respond to a multicultural and globalized environment.

General Eligibility

1.passes in two distinct subjects at GCE Advanced Level; 2. a pass in one subject at GCE Advanced Level plus (a) passes in two distinct subjects at GCE Advanced Subsidiary Level, or (b) a Vocational A-Level Single Award, or (c) two Vocational A-Level part Awards; 3. Vocational A-Level Double Award; or 4. a Vocational A-Level Single Award plus (a) two Vocational A-Level part Awards, or (b) passes in two distinct subjects at GCE Advanced Subsidiary Level; or 5. a BTEC National Certificate or Diploma; or 6. a Scottish Certificate of Education with (a) passes in five subjects, including at least three at Higher grade, or (b) passes in four subjects all at Higher grade or New Higher grade; or 7. full Diploma of the International Baccalaureate; or 8. an Irish Leaving Certificate with passes in four subjects at Grade C at the Higher level.

Part Time Work Details

20 Hours of Work permit weekly for international students.
