This degree provides students with a comprehensive understanding of the Earth, its living systems, and the complexity of environmental-societal interactions. Environmental scientists will gain a robust understanding of the science underpinning key environmental challenges, such as climate change, pollution, conservation, and natural resource management. Drawing on material from Physical and Human Geography, Geosciences, and Biological Sciences, students can construct a degree with their own specialisms and foci within the environmental science umbrella. This will build on core competencies in a range of laboratory, field, and IT methods. The course includes the UK and international residential field classes in years one and two, as well as options for international field trips in the final year. This new degree is designed to provide students with the skills to tackle the full scope of 21st-century environmental challenges and contains extensive optionality.
A/AS-levels: ABB. Two AS-levels considered in place of one A-level. Geography not essential.
