Course Overview

The BSc Economics and Business degree at Swansea University has an excellent reputation for producing high-performing graduates. A number of them have progressed to work for the world's biggest brands, such as Barclays, HSBC, and PwC, and the world's most respected institutions, including several government bodies. Combining core elements of economics and business, this degree is ideal if you want a career in politics, policy, trade, or finance. It gives a solid theoretical and practical understanding of the economic principles of business environments and the analytical techniques employed in business decision-making and strategy. By the end of the course, you will be able to confidently apply knowledge, investigative and model-building skills to advise different types of organizations. You can have a tangible impact on economic policy from private businesses to the government.

General Eligibility

32 UCAS tariff points at a minimum of GCE AS level. For subjects in Accounting and Finance, a minimum Grade C Maths GCSE is required.

Part Time Work Details

Twenty hours of work permit weekly for international students.

Language Requirement

  • Non-native English speakers must achieve 6.0 overall with no component less than 5.5 in IELTS or equivalent tests.
