The chances are youll be drawn to working with primary-aged children and their families. Our BA (Hons) Primary Education Studies is the first step on your career path. If youre interested in teaching, our degree will prepare you for postgraduate initial teacher training programs. We work with local ITT providers who actively recruit our students to School Centred Initial Teacher Training (SCITTs) and youll be prepared for interviews throughout your degree. At ARU, our courses are designed with your future in mind. We work with schools to make sure you graduate with the knowledge, skills, and abilities they need. They help us review what we teach and how we teach it €“ and they offer hands-on, practical opportunities to learn through work-based projects, internships, or placements.
UK 5 GCSE passes at grade 3 or above (for GCSE's taken prior to 2017 a grade E will be accepted) plus evidence of having attempted two years of post GCSE study. 19 points for International Baccalaureate. (EU & International nationals ONLY): 40. UCAS Tariff points at A/AS level. For A levels taken prior to 2017, the requirement is 100 tariff points. 22 points for International Baccalaureate.
The English requirement for all ARU College courses is an IELTS overall score of 5.5 (with at least 5.5 in each of the four components).
