Course Overview

As a forensic science graduate, youll be ready to work in a range of careers including laboratory analysis, quality control analysis, crime scene investigation, and policing. In fact, having gained a number of transferable skills, youll find you can explore roles in broader scientific and analytical-based jobs. Or you can consider a career in areas such as research, teaching, or further education. Some of our recent graduates are working in local police forces, and in lab settings for companies such as LGC, Chemtest, Treatt, Anglian Water, and Cellmark. Whichever direction you take, you can be sure that youll graduate with the knowledge, skills, and abilities that the industry needs. We work with employers, and they help us review what we teach and how we teach it €“ offering hands-on, practical opportunities to learn through work-based projects, internships, or placements.

General Eligibility

UK 5 GCSE passes at grade 3 or above (for GCSE's taken prior to 2017 a grade E will be accepted) plus evidence of having attempted two years of post GCSE study. 19 points for International Baccalaureate. (EU & International nationals ONLY): 40. UCAS Tariff points at A/AS level. For A levels taken prior to 2017, the requirement is 100 tariff points. 22 points for International Baccalaureate.

Language Requirement

• The English requirement for all ARU College courses is an IELTS overall score of 5.5 (with at least 5.5 in each of the four components).
