We work with employers to make sure you graduate with the knowledge, skills, and abilities they need. They help us review what we teach and how we teach it €“ and they offer hands-on, practical opportunities to learn through work-based projects, internships, or placements. This course takes into account the Children's Workforce Development Council and the Early Years Professional Framework. It will teach you the skills you need to work effectively in the early childhood sector such as nurseries and pre-schools. When you graduate, youll be able to apply to work in any registered setting in England, without needing to retrain. On the other hand, you could choose further studies, such as a relevant Masters degree, or a PGCE course which would qualify you as a primary school teacher. With further training, you could also go into educational psychology or social work.
UK 5 GCSE passes at grade 3 or above (for GCSE's taken prior to 2017 a grade E will be accepted) plus evidence of having attempted two years of post GCSE study. 19 points for International Baccalaureate. (EU & International nationals ONLY): 40. UCAS Tariff points at A/AS level. For A levels taken prior to 2017, the requirement is 100 tariff points. 22 points for International Baccalaureate.
The English requirement for all ARU College courses is an IELTS overall score of 5.5 (with at least 5.5 in each of the four components).
