BSc (Hons) Psychology and Criminology

... United Kingdom
... Buckinghamshire New University

Course Overview

This three-year course combines both Psychology and Criminology, giving you the chance to become an expert in both areas. Youll look at psychology as its own discrete discipline and then delve into the implications for the criminal mindset. Criminology sheds light on the contexts in which crime and social life are discussed. Having criminology as a secondary discipline brings a sociological perspective on crime to core areas of psychology, which can be applied to understanding criminal behavior. The course will give you insights into social diversity and inequality. Youll understand their implications for crime and the criminal justice system. Youll also learn about the ethical issues related to working with vulnerable people in the criminal justice system or researching issues related to crime and victimization.€¬€¬€¬
