Course Overview

Your masters degree will provide several career opportunities. From the knowledge, skills, and experience developed during the course, previous students have achieved strength and conditioning positions with professional sports teams, including Premiership football clubs, university sports teams in the USA, and other industrial places. The course has been designed to cover the content of external body qualifications such as the UKSCA and NSCA making the preparation for this external certification a natural progression. Previous students have also built and developed successful personal training companies working with recreational to elite sportspeople.

General Eligibility

Minimum 2:1 degree (or equivalent for international students) in a sport or exercise-related area. Related subjects include but are not limited to, anatomy, physiology, physiotherapy, sports therapy, and sport science. Candidates with exceptional and extensive work experience in sport or strength and conditioning may also be considered (subject to the approval of the program leader).

  • Overall Academic IELTS 6.0 with a minimum of 6.0 in Writing and Speaking; minimum 5.5 in Reading and Listening (or recognized equivalent).
