This course is offered as a four-year program, including an initial Foundation Year. The Foundation Year will allow you to develop your academic study skills and build confidence in your abilities, identifying your own strengths and development needs for progression onto an undergraduate degree. In a rapidly changing world, driven by the evolving power of technology and shifts in consumer habits and business practices, marketing is critical to the success of all types of organizations, in both the private and public sectors, at both a local and global level. Using the teaching teams extensive industry and professional connections, this course reflects this new and dynamic marketing landscape, covering everything from understanding the consumer to the latest developments in the role of digital technology in modern marketing. The course will help you to develop the vital skills and knowledge you need to work in teams. This will be done by group projects and assignments, including live briefs from real clients. In addition, you will have the opportunity to attend industry guest speaker lectures, and visit major clients, research agencies, and other marketing specialist organizations. Over the entire course, you will have the opportunity to acquire skills in leadership and management whilst understanding how marketing operates alongside other business disciplines at both an operational and strategic level.
Applicants who do not meet the minimum requirements for our three-year programs, or those who do not feel fully prepared for first-year entry, can be considered for the four-year program including a foundation year. Applicants to these will have typically achieved between 32-56 UCAS tariff points.
