This course is offered as a four-year program, including an initial Foundation Year. The Foundation Year will allow you to develop your academic study skills and build confidence in your abilities, identifying your own strengths and development needs for progression onto an undergraduate degree. The fashion and textiles industry is constantly evolving to meet shifting customer values, new technologies, and approaches to working. This degree program will help equip you with the contemporary, specialist technical, and professional skills to work as multidisciplinary practitioners in the fashion and textile industry. This program has been designed for students who are passionate about both fashion and textiles and looking for a degree program that will allow you to combine these two specialisms. You will be taught alongside both the BA (Hons) Fashion Design and the BA (Hons) Textile Design courses, with aspects of modules, shared, so you will benefit from working alongside students on both the other courses, gaining extra invaluable insight into both the fashion and textile processes.
Applicants who do not meet the minimum requirements for the 3-year undergraduate program, or those who do not feel fully prepared for a Level 4 course, will be considered for the 4-year program including a Foundation Year.
